School Terms & Curriculum

The Academic year has been divided into two terms: First Term & Second Term

For Class PG to KG II
The essence of Pre-Primary education is, to produce “Learning Readiness” which accelerates and smoothens academic learning in the later stages and not to impose unnecessary burden of Formal Assessment on the child. Thus, to achieve the optimum level of performance in a child, we have decided to do away with this system of Formal Assessment at the end of Half Yearly and Annual Term. However, we have introduced a system of an informal evaluation of the child every month through continuous observation and interaction with the little child so as to make his learning more joyous and stimulating.
  • An observation report will be given to the students every month.
  • Simple dictations, class tests will be taken regularly, but the child’s performance in these tests will in no way affect his / her continuous assessment.
  • At the end of a term, a class work assignment will be given in September and February only to give the students a revision. The September Assignment will include the syllabus of first term and February Assignment will include syllabus of Annual Term.
  • It is important that the child attends classes regularly for continuous and proper assessment.

For Class I onwards
  • In case a child has less than 75% attendance he/she will not be permitted to appear for the Annual Exam and the CBSE Board Exam.
  • Students who are absent in any of the examinations due to sickness should submit a medical certificate at the earliest during the examination period itself.
  • (a)No examination or unit test will be held before or after the scheduled time in case of absence for any reason.
(b)In case of absence in unit test, the child will be marked zero.
    (c) In case of late admission, L. A. will be marked and the marks obtained for the next unit test will be doubled.
  • For promotion to the next class, it is essential that a student obtains at least 40% in the aggregate.
  • A student who fails twice in the same class will be asked to leave the school.
  • All cases of doubt regarding promotion are left entirely to the discretion of the Principal whose decision shall be final.
  • Promotion once refused will not be reconsidered.
  • If a child gets lower than 40% in the unit test promotion to the next class may be refused.
  • While calculating final percentage for promotion to the next class, 10% weightage to all four Assessments( FA 1, FA 2, FA 3, FA 4) and 30% each to Half-Yearly and Final Examination is given for classes VI to X.
